It was such a pleasure to meet such a nice person and amazing new bag brand, Mich Vasca, at Cube Showroom in Paris. This was, I believe, his first time showing in Paris during fashion week. The Wall Bag is the staple shape for Mich Vasca, with this shape coming in varying sizes, colours and textures though all in ultra luxurious leather. One of my personal favourites is the silver metallic leather bag. Other textures, such as patent or perforated leather, are used to craft stunning pieces given the confines of the Wall shape. Mich Vasca uses a vegetable tanning process, which creates a softer texture and is better for the environment.
Another favourite is the Bricks Wall Bag, which you can see above in black. I was told by the designer that the bricks embossed in the bag are continuous from one end through to the other, symbolising the life cycle from birth through to death. Each brick represents those experiences and milestones that become the story that is our life. It is especially fitting to share this collection with you as this year of 2016 comes to an end and we begin to construct the bricks for 2017.
