The Marikó Shorts from the Kudus collection are shorts made from decades old up-cycled vintage fabric with small pattern print. The fabric was sourced from the countryside of Hungary. The scallop edge is part of the original fabric and is made through a handmade process of sewing, and then cutting each motif one by one. The uniqueness of the pattern comes from the traditional dying technique that was used, as the pattern is not printed onto the garment but made with resist-dying. The white ribbon is also part of the original fabric. The item features hem facings that are used for lengthening the longevity of the garment.
The garment is ethically made in Hungary.
Each piece in our REMADE collection is one-of-a-kind. Due to the nature of vintage and antique fabrics, each piece might vary. The carefully selected fabrics are in excellent condition and quality and go through a thorough cleaning process. However, due to the age of the fabrics, they might show some slight imperfections or discolouration. These characteristics are part of the REMADE garments’ story and are a natural occurrence in the sustainable production method of up-cycling already existing materials.
