Kassa Coat
From Zsigmond:
The Kassa Coat from the Kudus collection is a jacket with detachable sleeves made from two contrasting fabrics: 100% recycled polyester and up-cycled vintage fabric. The vintage fabric is sourced from the countryside of Hungary and is colloquially called “Kassai Silk” named after its initial origin from the city of Kosice (Kassa) and its status as the most expensive fabric used in traditional costumes in Hungary. The brocade fabric is made with a unique, alternating weaving technique that gives it its three-dimensional woven texture.
The piece is finished with adjustable cords that are hand-painted using a unique, eco-conscious dye and certified Oeko-Tex 100 snap buttons.
The garment is ethically made in Hungary.
Each piece in our REMADE collection is one-of-a-kind. Due to the nature of vintage and antique fabrics, each piece might vary. The carefully selected fabrics are in excellent condition and quality and go through a thorough cleaning process. However, due to the age of the fabrics, they might show some slight imperfections or discolouration. These characteristics are part of the REMADE garments’ story and are a natural occurrence in the sustainable production method of up-cycling already existing materials.
