Farrah Floyd is an emerging German fashion label with an interesting take on sustainability and textile waste. Bojana Drača, the creative mind behind the label, is trained as both a fashion and textile designer and holds a masters degree in sustainability in fashion. She uses only rectangle pattern pieces in her collections to ensure there is absolutely zero waste from cutting her the pieces for her collections. Through interesting use of colour and manipulation of the rectangles, Farrah Floyd is full of completely wearable yet eye catching three dimensional designs. Her graduate collection, Heroine, was well received, earning her a a bronze in Creative Conscience Award:UK as well as earning a place in the finals of the EcoChic Design Award in Hong Kong. While the Autumn Winter 2015 collection Control uses typical fall colours like pumpkin orange and oatmeal mixed with blacks and greys, the shapes of the garments are anything but ordinary. Here are the looks from her graduate collection.
And here are just a few of our favourite looks from the Autumn Winter 2015 Control collection.
