#IStandWithUkraine
It’s easy to think of war as something in the distant past or at least on the other side of the world. If you can’t see it, it isn’t happening. That’s never been the case and unfortunately it’s even physically closer to home than any time in my living memory. We’ve all seen the images on the news; I have heard first-hand accounts of families fleeing across the border to Poland, sheltering overnight in car parks with pets and children to evade bombing of residential areas. Children who may never see their fathers again, families that may never be whole...
Taking time away matters
It has been quite a while since we’ve posted on here! I just wanted to leave a note that over the holiday season, it was important to take a step back and spend time with family like we haven’t been able to do in a couple of years. While we are all still feeling the impacts of COVID, it was good to step away if even for just a short time to take a break. Taking time off is not an easy choice to make, especially for a small business where there is no one else to pick up the...

Behind The Seams Charity Emerging Designers Fashion Slow Fashion

Below, you can read about her latest project, HUMAN. -The situation we are all in these days is difficult and worrying, but it has given us time to stop and think about everything and hopefully become better people. People...
F#ck COVID-19
As everyone can probably tell by now, this global pandemic is going to change the way we act, live, work, shop, socialize and interact for not just the near future, but for months and possibly years to come. The economic impacts of the COVID-19 virus and the necessary steps we’re all taking to “flatten the curve” and stop the spread of the virus are nothing like we’ve ever seen, with some economists saying it is already worse than the Great Recession of 2008, the fallout of which we are still dealing with in many ways more than a decade later....

Graduate Fashion Week 2018: Ravensbourne
Emerging Designers Fashion Fashion Design Fashion Week Graduate Fashion Week
Ravensbourne is always something to look forward to during Graduate Fashion Week. The students here are not afraid to push the boundaries, and the sculpted pieces throughout the show this year are no exception. Fatima Miñana Fatima's designs were an interesting mis of fabrics, something traditional with something more technical. She even thought about the styling, all the way down to the fabric wrapped booties. Isabel Hibbert Isabel's menswear pieces were a modern take on a Japanese inspired urban dandy. Karolina Dastikaite This collection was full of almost wearable pieces with some bold silhouettes. Isabella Peace The juxtaposition of utilitarian...
