It is always a pleasure to catch us with the lovely people behind shoe label Peter Non during my travels around Paris during fashion week. This time, I visited the showroom and had the opportunity to experience the latest collection for Autumn Winter 2017 entitled Doppelgänger.
A presence from behind, invisible but persistent, a dopple same same but different.
The sensation of alternation and addiction, the multiple projections of ourselves in other contexts and dimensions. Continuity and innovation, hand-made treatments and high quality materials, made totally in Italy: calfskin, bull vegetable tanned in aniline, hand-bridled nappa and suede leather, calf hair, shearling, lamb, thermoformed silk and microfiber.
The Peter Non shoe is crafted and mounted by hand, on an anatomical footbed made of anallergic latex foam. For Doppelgänger, they have added six new models to their best selling lines.
The unique double-soled styles are Peter Non's way of creating something truly different. While they would appear to be heavier due to the double soles, they are surprisingly light. Another new technique they've added is the textured leather that looks almost like dragon skin using both smooth and suede leather. While it is often the case that shoe designers and brands are just looking to create something that looks good, Peter Non designs all they through to ensure maximum comfort and superb design.
