Ivana Ristić is an as-of-yet little known Serbian womenswear designer based in Belgrade. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with Bachelor of Fine Art degree. After graduation, she had gone on to intern with designers Isaac Mizrahi and ThreeAsFour in New York before becoming head assistant designer of AMC–Afodite Mode Collection in Belgrade. In 2007, Ivana launched her eponymous label. The best way to describe Ivana Ristić's aesthetic is a simple, unifinished yet refined elegance. She takes her inspiration from the different cultures she experiences on her travels. We are most impressed with Ivana's ability to take leather and wool and make them into undeniably feminine pieces.
While she is no doubt busy with her label, Ivana still finds time to design costumes for television and stage as well as fulfilling her role as professor assistant in school of Design Technology and Management where she has the opportunity to shape the future of the fashion scene.
You can find Ivana's designs in her IMI concept store in Belgrade. Check out her Facebook and that of her store. We can't wait to see the rest of her Spring Summer 2016 collection!
