I've had this collection under my hat for a while and now that it has landed in The Shop, I can finally share it with you!
Primavera is the latest collection by our amazing brand Clon8 for Autumn Winter 2016. While maintaining the dark appeal of Meteora, This latest collection celebrates Botticelli's painting by the same name, also known as Allegory of Spring, where the designer Angelika Chilikova "transmutes the delicate abundance of spring into the bold silhouettes of winter." The names of the garments in this collection come from the characters depicted in the painting, such as Zephyr, the goddess of flowers Flora and the nymph Chloris.
Like the painting, the symbolic interpretation of this collection is the extension of the burgeoning spring into autumn and winter with the black petals falling to the forest floor, as they do around Flora the goddess of flowers in the painting. Primavera is also crafted from natural fabrics with the black laser cut flowers emblazoned throughout.
Clon8's interpretation of the painting for this collection seeks to recognise man's unique place in the universe.
