I got to catch up with emerging label Misomber Nuan in Paris this past Fashion Week and was so pleased to experience their latest Spring Summer 2017 menswear collection. I've seen their work in a couple of shops so it was great to get a sneak peek of what's coming next.
This collection has a lot of the signatures of their previous collections; there are updated takes on some traditional pieces, surprising hidden details and luxurious fabrics. For this season, Misomber Nuan added a taste of turquoise (which you'll have to wait to see as there aren't any images here) and some added tassels which somehow do not look feminine at all. Most pieces are transformable, with slits and tabs that can be fashioned to fit almost anyone's style. The collection, like the previous ones, are technically classed as menswear but I would say that a good many of the pieces are really pretty unisex.
This Spring Summer for Misomber Nuan sees the use of some super soft fabrics. The trench coats are made from a soft cotton while the suiting jackets and shorts are made from a lightweight wool poplin. I tried a lot of these pieces on in the showroom and they somehow just seem to fall so well; everything I tried on was so much more flattering than I expected such a soft fabric to be.
