If you've been reading The Journal, you know that emerging Korean label Chaos From Undermind is one of our absolute favourites. Their signature style is everything we love; leather, asymmetry, innovative shapes are all at the core of their style.
We were so excited to meet them at Cube Showroom in Paris and see their latest collection, Re;flection, for Spring Summer 2017. Their follow up to their Fugacious collection for Autumn Winter '17, Re;flection follows through with some of their signature moves such as draped, high collars and patchwork leather panel construction.
For their latest collection, they've branched out from their amazing leather work to add linen and premium cotton to the mix. They have somehow managed to take their techniques for creating incredibly structured leather pieces and translated them to a much softer, lighter fabric and it somehow worked amazingly well. We also loved how they mixed cotton with the leather, like in the jacket below, to create something truly stunning.
It is so rare for a label to be able to mix avant-garde aesthetic with impeccable tailoring to create such smart and interesting looks, but Chaos From Undermind shows us again in Re;flection that they are masters at their craft.
