One of our absolute favourite emerging labels has shared with us their latest collection and we could not be more excited. Nihilism is the latest collection for Autumn Winter 2016 by Ukrainian conceptual label DZHUS.
DZHUS defies the ideology of mainstream fashion labels who use marketing to create stories behind their trend-led designs by creating distinctive products, driving the discussion and without the need of an "exciting" story. DZHUS is amazingly innovative yet wearable fashion and does not pretend to be anything else.
Nihilism is a perfect follow up to their previous work and incorporates some of our favourite aspects from Totalitarium from Autumn Winter '15 and Pro Forma from this Spring Summer. Designer Irina Dzhus brings all of the architectural silhouettes from Totalitarium and the amazing details from Pro Forma and built upon them by adding textured fabrics and geometric details.
Transformation and multi-functionality are themes throughout Nihilism. There are trousers with angular tabs which can be worn in front or back along with tops with collars that become hoods. Exposed zippers and seams only add interest to each piece.
Vegan materials and other natural fabrics such as denim, knit cotton and felt are used to accentuate the technological essence of the smart avant-garde pieces by DZHUS. The niche brand's signature industrial style finishing and austere monochrome palette also appeal to the conceptual identity of DZHUS.
