We were so happy to spend a morning in Paris with one of our favourite footwear labels, Peter Non, and check out their latest collection Silly Things for Spring Summer '17.
While many of our favourite shapes returned in new iterations for Spring Summer '17, there were some great additions. This season introduced both a platform and a flexible footbed, both for comfort and style.
They also added a couple of new finishes to the mix this season. For the women's collection, there is now a mirrored leather which is kind of like patent but where you can actually see the grain in the leather. They've also added texture to the leather by scratching it by hand. Silly Things also sees the addition of perforated cotton and a resinated and embossed leather, both stunning yet simply elegant treatments. There were some special treats in the way of pony hair and coloured fur added to a few of the sandal styles.
This season's accessories include only one structured bag which is beautifully simple, which we will show you once we have images. Though there is only the one shape, they have married it to the collection by using the same mirrored leather and scored leather.
Again, it is those special little details that help make Peter Non different. One of the unisex boots is missing the tongue, allowing your choice of sock to show through. They've also continued with one of their signature treatments, hand-drilling the leather for those cutouts.
You can see their Autumn Winter '16 collection here, for now, enjoy the Silly Things.
