The Madame with a Mission is back for Love Has No Border, the latest collection for Autumn Winter 2016 by Susa Kreuzberger. The follow up to Code Noire for this Spring Summer season follows may of the aesthetic you'd expect. No only does this collection once again prove her prowess with tailoring, she also continues to challenge gender norms. The has again taken some strong, masculine features and reworked them into powerful garments for women.
I love pretty much this entire collection, though there are a few outfits that stand out to perfectly illustrate the way Susa sees the world. The first would have to be the outfit with the white blouse and black trousers with the straps down the sides; now this is a confident woman who looks like she owns every room she walks into. The other would have to be the full on, all black military inspired outfit complete with boots. In Susa's world, women of any age can and will do whatever the hell they want!
Obviously, I'm always drawn to the black and white palette. Susa's work is all the more compelling due to her mastery of texture, print and shape. Layered looks and experimental combinations of material act as a suggestion of outgrowing boarders. Her work is incredibly accessible yet innovative at the same time.
